Stop #16: Jersey City, New Jersey, USA

Brownstone Diner & Pancake Factory
New Jersey is famous for diners and this is my all time favorite. It has been in the neighborhood for a long time. The place is packed on the weekends. They are very efficient, so the wait is not bad. The pancakes are huge, fluffy and delicious. I want the recipe for their batter! As I am typing this, I think I can smell the slightly sweet vanilla scent. Oh so yummy!

Waffles may sound easy to make but a lot of times they come out soggy. Not here. It is fresh and has just the right amount of crispiness. It is as perfect as a waffle can be.

Nha Trang Place
I have been to many Vietnamese restaurants in this country, yet I still come back here and consider it the best Vietnamese restaurant ever. Pho, a Vietnamese noodle soup, is the most popular and wellknown dish. It is usually served with beef (brisket, navel, frank, tendon or round). The soup includes noodles made from rice and is often served with Vietnamese basil, lime, bean sprouts that are added to the soup by the diner.

The pho brooth at Nha Trang is tasty. Grilled meats are perfectly smoked. I have tried other dishes on the menu and it never fails. The best Vietnamese restaurant ever!!
